“Students were very engaged and immediately fell in love with the program. They liked the games that tie into the fraction concepts.”
- Teacher, John Barry Elementary School
“I have a student with an IEP who struggled with automaticity and recall. While she hasn't gotten to 100%, yet, her fluency and confidence has improved greatly. She is willing to participate and offer answers and the work we are doing currently in math, while extremely difficult for her, is something she is finding success in!”
- Teacher, R J Kinsella Magnet Sch-Arts
“Many of my struggling students are very excited to use Reflex Math and share their successes! It is a fun, but challenges them to improve their fact fluency at the same time.”
- Teacher, Gaffney Elementary School
“It's well-gamified, definitely builds a fraction foundation that is very strong, and students seem relatively independent in following the progression.”
- Teacher, Bowman Elementary School
“One of our lowest 3rd grade math students loved the program so much she was one of the first to finish the entire first foundation without needing any adult support and did it a ton at home in addition to school! Really impressed by her growth and self-direction.”
- Teacher, Bowman Elementary School
“One of my struggling students feeling very confident in her skills now and her math has improved greatly by knowing her math facts by heart and not having to rely on other strategies...fingers were her go to. It has been so amazing to see her soar.”
- Teacher, St Elizabeth Ann Seton School
“It is the first thing my students do every morning. Everyone is engaged the whole time and they enjoy playing.”
- Teacher, Haines Elem Middle School
“My math class is so motivated to get on Frax and complete missions. They ask me every single day if Sector 2 has been released yet and they're always moaning when I tell them not yet. They love receiving their certificates of different mission completions and will brag to each other about their Black Star status, etc. One student in particular has grown so much in her confidence in math because of the Frax program. She believes in herself now during math because she's the furthest in the program and all her classmates support her and her enthusiasm for it.”
- Teacher, Finger Lake Elementary School
“It's engaging, and I really appreciate the green light! It is so helpful to see when students have made their progress.”
- Teacher, Finger Lake Elementary School
“As an adjunct faculty member at both private and state universities in Minnesota, I have had the opportunity to introduce the Gizmo platform to future educators. Gizmo’s lessons are scaffolded to transition from teacher modeling to student independence in understanding key concepts. Each lesson begins with a prior knowledge component, building on previous lessons and allowing teachers to make necessary adjustments. Additionally, vocabulary words are listed at the top of each lesson and highlighted as they are introduced. I strongly recommend that other colleges and universities incorporate this tool into their programs to support future educators.”
