Description

ExploreLearning's initial training workshop is designed to prepare teachers to use Gizmos immediately in their classrooms. An experienced ExploreLearning trainer leads participants through a training experience that includes demonstration, guided instruction, and hands-on practice with ExploreLearning.com and Gizmos.

Format

This six-hour* workshop is delivered to groups of up to 25 teachers by an experienced ExploreLearning trainer. Participants work at Internet-connected computers throughout the day.

The typical session begins with learning the major features and functions of the ExploreLearning website with a focus on the Teacher Home Page. The instructor then models best practices for inquiry-based teaching with Gizmos and provides teachers with time for hands-on exploration. The session concludes with planning time for teachers to begin supplementing current units of study with Gizmos.

Standard training agendas are available upon request and ExploreLearning can also develop custom training agendas to meet your specific needs.

*Three-hour workshops are also available. These workshops provide more limited time for guided instruction, teacher exploration, and practice with Gizmos.
